INSPECTplus Inspection Software
Steinbichler Optotechnik's INSPECTplus software package allows users to align scan data with other scan data or CAD 3D models.
Once aligned, the user can generate surface comparison reports, comparisons of cross sections and border lines with needle diagrams, feature comparisons and traditional measurements. (Data can also be measured without alignment to another data set).
Traditional measurements can be applied to the data and full GD & T can be applied to the evaluation of shape and positional tolerances - holes, slots, vectors, cones, spheres, planes and cylinders can be compared.
Using 'visual basic' macros with full record and teach functionality, the software can be fully automated to allow alignment, comparison and reports to be run at the press of a 'single button'. Reports can be output in PDF format or 'shared' with 3rd parties using the free viewer software.
Several alignment methods are incorporated into the software – Manual Alignment, Automatic alignment, Alignment by Primitives, Best fit alignment, RPS Alignment and 3-2-1 Alignment.
The alignment features enable complex parts such as turbine blades and non-geometric castings for example to be aligned, compared and fully reported with ease.
