Intact Type Tyre Testing Equipment
The tyre testing equipment is a non-destructive method of evaluating a tyres integrity. The process and equipment are used on new tyres during the Research and Development process as well as quality control. The systems are also used extensively in the re-treading industry and is used to verify the carcass prior to the re-treading process.
Intact 4300 OTR Shearography Tire Inspection System
During the testing process, a low pressure differential is created in a vacuum chamber, which in turn induces deformations that may be present in the tyre carcass to become evident. A holographic TV shearographytechnique is then used to detect and measure the defects very accurately. Faulty areas can be displayed and reproduced clearly.
The Steinbichler tyre testing systems (INTACT) have and are being used successfully in the car, truck, aircraft and Formula 1 industries worldwide.
