In December 2011, Nick Godfrey, Director of Central Scanning Limited and Steinbichler Optotechnik Gmbh opened their UK Sales Office in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.
Central Scanning Limited, has been Steinbichler’s UK reseller since 2006, and after increased sales growth over the last few years as well as an increase in employee numbers, the decision was taken to open a Steinbichler Office in the UK to support the increasing demand for product demonstrations, system sales and to support existing customers.

Steinbichler UK Limited will sell the Steinbichler hardware and software that Central Scanning have been reselling for the past 5 years, including Comet 5 White Light Fringe Projection Systems, Steinbichler T-Scan and also the recently launched Comet L3D, which features Blue LED Technology and is now available in 2MP and 5MP resolution.
More information on the Comet L3D can be found below. Central Scanning will continue to provide 3D scanning services for Inspection and Reverse Engineering and the sales and support of Artec and Aicon products working closely with the respective manufacturers.

With the end of the year approaching, Artec is preparing a special surprise for all its partners and clients. We won’t lift the curtain just yet, but know that the new Artec Studio 8.0 will make scanning a lot easier.

Established in 2006, Central Scanning supply 3D Digitizing equipment and offer an efficient and cost effective 3D Scanning service for your Reverse Engineering and Inspection requirements. Which stand number are you at the show?
This year we are on stand F6 and F10 with designated stands for our product lines from Steinbichler, Aicon3D Systems and Artec 3D. We have expanded our stand this year with the addition of an extra 9m² to house the Artec product range. We will have a CNC machine to demonstrate how the data we generate can be used.

Central Scanning Aicon Agents

Central Scanning is pleased to announce their new Aicon agent status. Along with there class leading comet 5 white light scanner and T-Scan laser scanner central scanning now has the latest DPA pro Aicon system and MoveInspect HR Precise. To compliment our current bureau service and product portfolio we have taken on board the well established Aicon DPA photogrammetry system with the latest 24 mega pixel camera for high accuracy data capture, for use within 3-D inspection and 3-D process analysis.
Flexibility with respect to object size and location, The DPA systems cover a wide range of application. They will measure parts from a few millimetres up objects as large as entire aircraft. The DPA pro is used for tolerance analysis, roundness inspection and direct CAD comparison.
The Aicon MoveInspect HR allows for very fast, accurate point measurement with the utilisation of measurement targets. Along with the optional MI probe we can now offer a fully portable and modular CMM solution for the highest accuracy and flexibility. The MoveInspect not only offers a probing facility but also full contact-less measurement with quantifiable dynamic measurements such as vibration analysis. Therefore even in the harshest environments the MoveInspect is able to measure efficiently.
3D Digitization of High Gloss Surfaces

The 3D digitization of high gloss, black and shiny metallic surfaces or carbon fibre re-enforced plastic (CFRP) materials is now possible without difficulties with the new, T-SCAN 3 hand-held scanner specially adapted for these requirements. The precise data acquisition of objects featuring extreme optical surface conditions is not influenced. The hand-held laser scanner is now available with a special hardware version, delivering excellent measurement results for the most challenging applications.
